Non Scale Victories This Week
During last night's LIIFT 4 Shoulders workout, I saw an improvement over last weeks shoulder presses. I was unable to do the 2nd and 3rd sets last week overhead after about 3-4 presses. My left shoulder would literally fall like I'd lost all muscle control with 10 lb weights. Yesterday I used the same 10 lbs and it wasn't until the 7th rep on the second set that I started to feel bad fatigue but pushed through. On the third set my shoulders were shot but I was still able to push overhead even if slower. I pushed to fatigue but didn't have that dangerous muscle drop I had before. The zinnias I grew from seed are mostly in full bloom and I took some pics before cutting some to put in a little vase. You make a great point about not having to take on the extra wear and tear. The worst thing that can happen during a plateau would be to get injured and set everything back. Maybe just try to do some extra calisthenics in the morning or at times throughout the day just to keep the metabolism burning without having to burn yourself out on double workouts.
ReplyDeleteI certainly have no advice because no one knows you better than you do, and you are always dedicated at trying new things and giving them 110%. If this isn't working for you, you know it. I admire your determination to keep trying new things. Hope you and the Mr. have a good weekend.
ReplyDeleteWellll, crap! It sure sounded good on paper. I know I certainly didn't envy you the double workouts. All I can say is that I'm sure that rotten scale will eventually start going down again. You and the Mr always come up with something new to try, so I'll stay tuned to find out what it is!
