What I'm Reading This Week #34

Hello you sassy beast!  Ready for another flip flappin' fantastic weekend?  Yes indeedy, Ally Sheedy. It's been a week of working ahead for me as I try to work on ideas for holiday posts.  I know, no one is ready for Christmas but spit balling stuff is actually getting me excited for the season.  I like to try to give myself the month of December off from writing new posts (except updating weekly happenings) so all I have to do is respond if needed.  It lets me take a little mental break during the holidays to try to enjoy what I can then hop back into the new year hopefully rested and ready to roll.   We did book our 30th anniversary trip, which is the same one we had to cancel this year and of course got travel insurance.  It's just nice to have something to hopefully look forward to and it makes you go "where the heck did 4 1/2 years go?" because it seems like just yesterday we were celebrating our 25th.  Do people even celebrate their 30t...

Non Scale Victories This Week

During last night's LIIFT 4 Shoulders workout, I saw an improvement over last weeks shoulder presses.  I was unable to do the 2nd and 3rd sets last week overhead after about 3-4 presses.  My left shoulder would literally fall like I'd lost all muscle control with 10 lb weights.  Yesterday I used the same 10 lbs and it wasn't until the 7th rep on the second set that I started to feel bad fatigue but pushed through.  On the third set my shoulders were shot but I was still able to push overhead even if slower.  I pushed to fatigue but didn't have that dangerous muscle drop I had before.

The zinnias I grew from seed are mostly in full bloom and I took some pics before cutting some to put in a little vase.

    I'm getting that same drop on my left arm so you're encouraging me on that. That will hopefully be a victory for me next week.

    Keep cutting those zinnias and they'll keeping growing new flowers! That's why I LOVE zinnias.

    Congrats on those accomplishments!! That is awesome!! It's been a hairy week over here, so haven't had time to think about anything other than work stuff. My PT is going well and my tomato plant and outdoor flowers are doing very well, so I'll count those.
