What I'm Reading This Week #34
Hello you sassy beast! Ready for another flip flappin' fantastic weekend? Yes indeedy, Ally Sheedy. It's been a week of working ahead for me as I try to work on ideas for holiday posts. I know, no one is ready for Christmas but spit balling stuff is actually getting me excited for the season. I like to try to give myself the month of December off from writing new posts (except updating weekly happenings) so all I have to do is respond if needed. It lets me take a little mental break during the holidays to try to enjoy what I can then hop back into the new year hopefully rested and ready to roll. We did book our 30th anniversary trip, which is the same one we had to cancel this year and of course got travel insurance. It's just nice to have something to hopefully look forward to and it makes you go "where the heck did 4 1/2 years go?" because it seems like just yesterday we were celebrating our 25th. Do people even celebrate their 30t...
When I was a "Metal Head" kid I used to say bang that head that doesn't bang. Isn't it sad when you come to that realization that you just can't do that kind of stuff anymore? Well, you can, but not without consequences unfortunately. I am glad we got both of those movies, they were very entertaining and Tag was especially fun to see the real life tag players to see that it was always about more than just playing tag.
ReplyDeleteI've wanted to see Tag, but haven't yet. I always listened to head banging music as a kid/young adult, but I never did see the attraction of actual headbanging. I left that to those braver souls with stronger necks.
ReplyDeleteLast night was a new recipe for a cheesy pasta and brocolli dish. It was ok, but not great. Your tacos look way better.
You tacos do look yummy, especially since I prefer a hard corn shell. I had a grilled pork kebab made with pork loin, tomatoes, red bell pepper, and onion, a grilled romaine salad with a balsamic vinaigrette, and a piece of extra old cheddar cheese for desert.
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen any movies lately but would like to see the Christopher Robin movie.
ReplyDeleteDinner was chili that was quite good. I want to get back to having a salad every day, but I did not have one last night. Must do that tonight! LOL
