What I'm Reading This Week #36
Well hello you! So happy you stopped by and hope you're ready for September. It was a nice birthday week in comparison to last year when we rolled into Kentucky to be greeted with 103 degrees. So 81? Yeah, I'll take it! I saved the gift boxes from my friends to open on my actual birthday including a surprise box I wasn't expecting and it sat in the Amazon pile a little longer than it should have so that was nice. We got my free bundtlet from Nothing Bundt since I pre-worked it off with 9000 'steps' on the bike for 800 calories. We both rolled our eyes at the insane amount of visual shrinkage going on there as the cake doesn't even touch the sides of the package anymore like it used to. If you think we're paying $6 for that crap, you're nuts! (We don't get them unless there's a bogo going on anyway- way too expensive now compared to the $3.99 they were when they rolled into town 8 years ago. Anyhoo... It was your typical midweek...
Are you guys going away for Christmas this year again? I never had an advent calendar but my sister in law says Aldis has the best. Have an outstanding week!
ReplyDeleteNot this year but I'm hoping to do an every other year scenario so I know that we'll get the kind of Christmas we want. I'll have to check out Aldi's for sure! You too!
DeleteI have done inexpensive advent calendars for my kiddo, but it's not a regular thing. The beauty product one is a cool idea, but $70 is out of my price range too.
ReplyDeleteAs a bone deep Halloweener (laugh all you want) I get tired of my holiday missing out just because it's 3 months before Christmas. It's not that I don't like Christmas and those decorations, it's just that I really really like Halloween. A local Family Dollar has already clearanced much of their Halloween stuff to make room for Christmas stuff.
I just bought my advent calendar for the year. Sometimes we do well with them, other times we have to open a few days at a time.
DeleteI don't blame you at all. You really have to start decorating for Halloween mid-Sept in order to get in ample time with the spooky stuff. Thanksgiving is the true bastard child of holidays though. They're lucky to get a pilgrim thrown in for good measure in October and then they're gone except for Hobby Lobby.
I can't believe it's almost that time of year already. This year has flown by!
ReplyDeleteThis whole year has poofed in an instant! :-\
DeleteThese are cute crushes!!! I do advent calendars for the dogs...lol! We have a tree we hang with slots for biscuits and treats, and those two know right where it is and will sit and wait every morning after they potty outside. ROFL
ReplyDeleteThat is hilarious and you have to record that. I bet that is the cutest thing EVER!
DeleteI do love a good Arnold Horshack reference. Go you!!
ReplyDeleteYou know it!! Extra points for you!! ;-)
