Non Scale Victories This Week

During last night's LIIFT 4 Shoulders workout, I saw an improvement over last weeks shoulder presses.  I was unable to do the 2nd and 3rd sets last week overhead after about 3-4 presses.  My left shoulder would literally fall like I'd lost all muscle control with 10 lb weights.  Yesterday I used the same 10 lbs and it wasn't until the 7th rep on the second set that I started to feel bad fatigue but pushed through.  On the third set my shoulders were shot but I was still able to push overhead even if slower.  I pushed to fatigue but didn't have that dangerous muscle drop I had before. The zinnias I grew from seed are mostly in full bloom and I took some pics before cutting some to put in a little vase. What were your non scale victories so far this week? ==================== Get posts sent straight to your inbox on Follow It . Tom Hanks Reunites With Zoltar And Asks Him To Make Him 30 Years Old Again  (This is awesome!)

Chris Sarandon Shares Freaky Tales from 'Fright Night', 'Childs Play' and 'The Nightmare Before Christmas.'  (He ushered me into puberty in Fright Night...that scene with Amanda Bearse in the club or back at his place?  Me-ow!)

Jimmy & Justin Timberlake Sing "Ironic" at Camp Winnipesaukee   (Love these two when they're together!)

Flaming Bag of Poo  (Who remembers sending this one around the office about 15 years ago?  I remember hearing people open it across the office.  Classic!)

It's Halloween weekend and since relying on parents to, you know, parent is a crap shoot nowadays be aware that little goblins and ghouls will be running amok on sugar highs.  So drive slowly in neighborhoods between 5-8pm pretty much from today until Monday night.

Any plans for the weekend?  What did you get to give out, if anything?  (We got Laffy Taffy and Hubba Bubba gum so when no one shows up, the Mr can just take them to work Wednesday with the rest of the people who had leftovers.)

  1. Happy Halloween! I read that John Candy article earlier in the week and was so impressed with his kids. Planes, Trains & Automobiles is one of my favorite movies...have never not cried at the end.

Not sure what I have on tap for the weekend other than my meeting. Definitely need to get the laundry done and send some emails about the furniture I'm needing to get rid of (got a good response from one resale lady for a few items-and she'll come pick them up! Here's hoping she'll like the good price I gave her...fingers crossed).

Oh wait, what am I saying... I know what I'll be doing for the next three evenings. My tookus will be glued to the chair watching the Cubs at home in the World Series (that is unless I'm jumping up and down screaming -- hopefully in glee). =o)
