Non Scale Victories This Week

During last night's LIIFT 4 Shoulders workout, I saw an improvement over last weeks shoulder presses.  I was unable to do the 2nd and 3rd sets last week overhead after about 3-4 presses.  My left shoulder would literally fall like I'd lost all muscle control with 10 lb weights.  Yesterday I used the same 10 lbs and it wasn't until the 7th rep on the second set that I started to feel bad fatigue but pushed through.  On the third set my shoulders were shot but I was still able to push overhead even if slower.  I pushed to fatigue but didn't have that dangerous muscle drop I had before. The zinnias I grew from seed are mostly in full bloom and I took some pics before cutting some to put in a little vase. What am I crushin' on now?

I'm thinking it's time to go window shopping and share some of my current crushes.

I ran across this Ceramic Squirrel Speaker from West Elm by accident but boy am I glad I did!  I think there is nothing better than turning a squirrel that has an audio cord coming out of it's rump into a speaker!

The Company Store has this adorable postmark looking Rubber Molded Doormat that says Welcome as you enter and Goodbye as you leave.  Or you could flip it around to tell solicitors goodbye and welcome people who live there to the outdoors.  Hmm, I kind of like that more.

My obsession with mixing bowls I have no room for continues with these Rhodes Mixing Bowls from Pottery Barn.  They make me want to whip up cake batter and homemade frosting and go into a sugar coma.

I'm not a country fan but this adorable French Hen bowl from Sur La Table catches my attention every time. I'm thinking some morning oatmeal in this bowl would taste extra comforting.

I did a little fancy Photoshoppin' for this next one from Pier 1.  I don't know why but I kept gravitating toward this peacock serving platter and thought maybe these willow spheres would look pretty in them on our bedroom dresser.  Some of you will like this, some will think I'm high.
What are you crushin' on this week?  Decor?  Food?  Workout?  Vacation spot?

  1. I cannot stop laughing at the squirrel. It's not that there is anything wrong with it, it's just odd to me that someone decided to make a speaker out of something like that.
Everything looks pretty cool though, if we only had the room for it. You did a good photoshop job on that one photo, I wouldn't have known if you hadn't told me.

    1. They have a bear and some other animal too. You know you want one!

  2. I like the squirrel too. I really like bowls and cups of all kinds. If I had space I'd have like a million bowls and cups of different sizes, shapes and colors. Most would have no purpose but I would like looking at them and all of these would fit right in.

I'm not really crushing on anything right now. However, if you happen to come across a house-stretcher on your searches please let me know.

    1. Me too! I love looking into my cupboard and seeing multi-colored bowls stacked up. I want a house that has at least 1 or 2 glass door cupboards so I can show 'em off like art! I'll send the house stretcher on to you when I'm done!

  4. I just got the Owl West Elm speaker! (It's the same but just a different animal). It's perfect for my office because I can't play my music too loud in there anyway. It's so cute. I am weirdly obsessed with it.

    1. They just need to make a gopher so I can play Kenny Loggin's "I'm Alright" through it. We have a rather extensive mug collection and only use 20% of them. D'oh

    1. Not dorky at all. Anthropologie has an AWESOME white one that has little flowers carved into it. I think I had it on a former crush list!

  8. I always think you're high. jk. I just loved how you phrased that!
I loved the peacock plate the best- I'm not a super kitchen-y person as, at my age, I prefer to spend as little time in there as possible.

HA! I get it. I haven't grown tired of the kitchen stuff so I tend to gravitate toward that stuff. I think my next crush is going to be beauty related. My favorite hair products, etc.

I love the squirrel. I pretty much love anything squirrel or owl because we have both in our backyard and they are so much fun to watch. ~Krista
