What I'm Reading This Week #27

Happy Friday everyone!   I hope you've got the day off to enjoy.  I would really appreciate the weather dialing it back from Satan's taint to dryish heat please.  I'm not even asking for much.  Like 83 degrees would make me happy at this point but there's no end in sight to the 90's.  The Mr and I have both been plagued with migraines this week.  He had a two day event and I had an ocular migraine which is just so crappy to deal with since you can't read or do anything until your vision isn't screwed up.   I got to wait on hold for an hour Tuesday with the state tax department so I decided to sand and prime the newel post while listening to hold music designed to make you hang up.  To quote Bugs Bunny "he don't know me vewy well, do he?"  I got that squared away and later went out between pop up storms to deadhead some zinnias which you may have seen in Wednesday's post.   Speaking of Wednesday, it was a busy day in the ga...

What I'm Reading This Week #1

Well hello chickadees and welcome to the first Friday of 2025!  Did you jam out on New Year's Eve or were you partying behind closed eyelids by 9pm?  Hey, ain't no shame in the sleep game especially after the holidays!  The Mr and I fixed up some snacks, chilled and watched old Dick Clark ball drops from our youth.  You couldn't pay me to watch the crap on now that night.  Ahh, settling into middle age curmudgeonry right on schedule!

  2. I spent the day working, putting away some Christmas stuff, and working on a cheap of papers, receipts, etc, so now my kitchen table is once again a table. Lol. Finished the laundry yesterday so that always makes me excited to have that done before the weekend. Nothing major planned other than putting away the remaining holiday items, church, and some menu planning. Have a fantastic weekend!!

  3. I was partying behind closed eyelids by 9pm. Looking forward to 2025. I want to accomplish more this year than I have in the last 2.

    1. I hear ya!! We 'napped' and set an alarm for 10:30pm! LOL Sounds like we have the same goal for the year. We've got this! (Right? HA!)
