Non Scale Victories This Week

During last night's LIIFT 4 Shoulders workout, I saw an improvement over last weeks shoulder presses.  I was unable to do the 2nd and 3rd sets last week overhead after about 3-4 presses.  My left shoulder would literally fall like I'd lost all muscle control with 10 lb weights.  Yesterday I used the same 10 lbs and it wasn't until the 7th rep on the second set that I started to feel bad fatigue but pushed through.  On the third set my shoulders were shot but I was still able to push overhead even if slower.  I pushed to fatigue but didn't have that dangerous muscle drop I had before. The zinnias I grew from seed are mostly in full bloom and I took some pics before cutting some to put in a little vase. What were your non scale victories so far this week? ==================== Get posts sent straight to your inbox on Follow It . Hump Day Poll: What Do We Need to Ask

Okay, so we're bracing up for the beginning of yet another cancer journey.  We're talking late stage.

Anyone who has been through it or gone on the journey with others, what do we need to make sure we ask?

The big ones I can think of are 1) what is the goal of the treatment they are selecting  2) will she be tested for immunotherapy  3) are clinical trials an option and at what point do we decide that needs to be pursued?

If you can think of anything else that specifically needs to be asked of late stage on the first appointment, please let me know.  Also any tips/tricks for dealing with a "healthcare" system that has zero interest in getting patients/families information in a timely manner.

What can we expect with this treatment?
If this was your Mom/wife/family member how would you proceed?

As far as test results, get her login details for her health portal.
If you need to communicate status frequently to many people look at caring bridge website instead of being on the phone always repeating yourself.

  2. Thanks to anyone who can share. It is unfortunate that any of us should ever know these things but not there yet.
