What I'm Reading This Week #34

Hello you sassy beast!  Ready for another flip flappin' fantastic weekend?  Yes indeedy, Ally Sheedy. It's been a week of working ahead for me as I try to work on ideas for holiday posts.  I know, no one is ready for Christmas but spit balling stuff is actually getting me excited for the season.  I like to try to give myself the month of December off from writing new posts (except updating weekly happenings) so all I have to do is respond if needed.  It lets me take a little mental break during the holidays to try to enjoy what I can then hop back into the new year hopefully rested and ready to roll.   We did book our 30th anniversary trip, which is the same one we had to cancel this year and of course got travel insurance.  It's just nice to have something to hopefully look forward to and it makes you go "where the heck did 4 1/2 years go?" because it seems like just yesterday we were celebrating our 25th.  Do people even celebrate their 30t...

Hump Day Poll: This or That- Apple Edition

Caramel apples or candy apples?

Caramel because 1) holy yum and 2) I feel like the candy is going to rip my teeth out trying to eat it.  The last time I had a candy apple I was a teenager and I think a shard of it stuck the roof of my mouth too.  Not a fan.   Team Caramel Apple all the way! 🍎

How about you?  Caramel apples or candy apples?

  1. Not sure, honestly, if I have ever had a candy apple but the caramel ones are good so that is my choice.

  2. I don't believe I've ever tried a candy apple, although they sure are pretty looking. I like the caramel kind and there used to be a place called Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory that had the best caramel apples because they were huge and decadent -- the hubs loved 'em!) I couldn't eat those now for nothin', but back then I enjoyed them. As a kid my absolute favorite was the caramel wraps with the old commercial of just wrapping that apple in the flattened caramel and then sticking the popsicle stick in them and into the oven they went. Yum! These days it's just sliced apples with caramel dip from the apple orchard that I like the best.
