What I'm Reading This Week #34
Hello you sassy beast! Ready for another flip flappin' fantastic weekend? Yes indeedy, Ally Sheedy. It's been a week of working ahead for me as I try to work on ideas for holiday posts. I know, no one is ready for Christmas but spit balling stuff is actually getting me excited for the season. I like to try to give myself the month of December off from writing new posts (except updating weekly happenings) so all I have to do is respond if needed. It lets me take a little mental break during the holidays to try to enjoy what I can then hop back into the new year hopefully rested and ready to roll. We did book our 30th anniversary trip, which is the same one we had to cancel this year and of course got travel insurance. It's just nice to have something to hopefully look forward to and it makes you go "where the heck did 4 1/2 years go?" because it seems like just yesterday we were celebrating our 25th. Do people even celebrate their 30t...
I had a great time in the old hometown but, yeah, it sure did go by fast this time. What's funny is we ended up being there later than usual too and it still all went flying by. Thanks for helping me nurse that awful headache. Made Sunday kind of a wash but getting out for a walk was just what I needed.
ReplyDeleteI spent a lot of time playing catch-up. Between routine medical appointments and sponsoring a field trip I was ont at work Thursday or Friday. I sure paid for it this weekend. I did have a girls' night Saturday and taught a swimming lesson on Sunday. Both were really nice.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you enjoyed Saturday, and I hope the Mr's headache is completely gone today.
That stove is awesome! What a fun place to browse and buy. I had a really good meeting on Saturday, then finished up some paperwork, did a load of laundry, then to my ultimate delight binge-watched almost 5 hours of Who's Line is it Anyway and laughed myself silly, which felt really good. Sunday I had breakfast with a friend of mine, then we went grocery shopping, did more laundry, and romped around with the dogs. Not the best "mental" weekend, but getting those laughs in really made a difference.
