What I'm Reading This Week #34
Hello you sassy beast! Ready for another flip flappin' fantastic weekend? Yes indeedy, Ally Sheedy. It's been a week of working ahead for me as I try to work on ideas for holiday posts. I know, no one is ready for Christmas but spit balling stuff is actually getting me excited for the season. I like to try to give myself the month of December off from writing new posts (except updating weekly happenings) so all I have to do is respond if needed. It lets me take a little mental break during the holidays to try to enjoy what I can then hop back into the new year hopefully rested and ready to roll. We did book our 30th anniversary trip, which is the same one we had to cancel this year and of course got travel insurance. It's just nice to have something to hopefully look forward to and it makes you go "where the heck did 4 1/2 years go?" because it seems like just yesterday we were celebrating our 25th. Do people even celebrate their 30t...
Woohoo,hope there's only 1 Dawn in your followers :).
ReplyDeleteThis weekend should be fun, heading outta state for Hubster's Aunt and Uncle's 60th anniversary bash. It's pretty cool his family keeps me included even though he has been gone over 4 years! Bonus that I have my Mom here with me and can take her along. She is looking very "Maxine" with her post cataract surgery.
Have an awesome weekend!

DeleteCongrats to Dawn! You're in for a treat on that win! Happy Friday everybody!
ReplyDeleteThe credit/debit article was interesting. A friend of mine had her checking account cleared out over the summer (everything was returned to her, thank goodness - the bank/insurance made good) and she was told never to use her debit card at a restaurant where they take the card from the table and bring back the receipt. I guess I'll just have to start using cash everywhere, or go back to writing checks, The gas station thing is bothersome too, because sometimes I just don't have time to go inside and wait in line to prepay.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend.
Congrats Dawn!
Happy early birthday to the Mr!! Hope it's an excellent weekend for you guys. Not much on tap this weekend other than cleaning (I've been gone the whole week so my household chores are waaaaay behind), transferring scripts, paying bills, and watching some football. I'm giving my body a break today from exercise because of all that I'm doing at mom's house -- I haven't sweated like that in a long time! My lower back is quite sore and out of the blue my monthly friend came so I've got some serious low back cramps going on. Grrrr.... It's going to be cool this weekend (love it) so I plan on snuggling down with a book at some point too. Have a great weekend!!
