Non Scale Victories This Week

During last night's LIIFT 4 Shoulders workout, I saw an improvement over last weeks shoulder presses.  I was unable to do the 2nd and 3rd sets last week overhead after about 3-4 presses.  My left shoulder would literally fall like I'd lost all muscle control with 10 lb weights.  Yesterday I used the same 10 lbs and it wasn't until the 7th rep on the second set that I started to feel bad fatigue but pushed through.  On the third set my shoulders were shot but I was still able to push overhead even if slower.  I pushed to fatigue but didn't have that dangerous muscle drop I had before. The zinnias I grew from seed are mostly in full bloom and I took some pics before cutting some to put in a little vase. Chili deliciousness and what I'm reading this week

What up, lovelies?

Last night was our favorite night...second day chili night.

Instead of a little piece of bread to soak up the remainder, we did half a serving of Garden of Eatin's Red Hot Tortilla Chips, hot chili pepper cheese (1 oz) and some scallions.  Sooo yummy!  I will be so sad when chili eating season is over.

I was so jealous of my friend being in Kauai yesterday that I put on suntan lotion and pouted.

But enough of that, let's get to...

  1. Cannot wait to see my surprise link! Had a slightly better night's sleep last night. Let's hope that either continues or we get an "out". Happy Friday!

    1. Yeah, I knew you'd like that. But as you said after reading it, you don't want to be the first on a "maiden" voyage. Let him get his blimp landed at least one time.

This mattress thing is becoming a huge pain in the ass and the amount of universal laughing going on based on the amount of broken links in the chain is more proof we are cursed.

  2. I'm off to work in a few - but taking off at noon so I can drive up to my folks because I'm taking a class tomorrow. Then drive home Sunday just in time for a late start on weekend chores. Woohoo for a long and painful weekend - plus throw in time change for some extra fun and giggles. I am looking forward to seeing my folks, but not the class or the drive.

  3. I love, love, love JRTs. I got one last year in January. I've had all sorts of dogs..Labs, Great Danes, Chesapeake Bay Retrievers, Pit Bull, CHow, Dacshunds, Chihuaua, and a few others. But my little JRT is my special one. He has just the right amount of energy. Not too much :) for me and my kids (7 and 9yo). He has sooo much personality, he makes us laugh all the time. And the dog can move like crazy and he does fly lol
