What I'm Reading This Week #34
Hello you sassy beast! Ready for another flip flappin' fantastic weekend? Yes indeedy, Ally Sheedy. It's been a week of working ahead for me as I try to work on ideas for holiday posts. I know, no one is ready for Christmas but spit balling stuff is actually getting me excited for the season. I like to try to give myself the month of December off from writing new posts (except updating weekly happenings) so all I have to do is respond if needed. It lets me take a little mental break during the holidays to try to enjoy what I can then hop back into the new year hopefully rested and ready to roll. We did book our 30th anniversary trip, which is the same one we had to cancel this year and of course got travel insurance. It's just nice to have something to hopefully look forward to and it makes you go "where the heck did 4 1/2 years go?" because it seems like just yesterday we were celebrating our 25th. Do people even celebrate their 30t...
Nothing worse than a shoulder or neck injury (I just suffered both recently from sleeping funny.) I adjusted my workout for almost a week to accommodate my aches and pains. It was interesting; that was the week I found new muscles that hadn't been worked while I was doing a yoga workout.
ReplyDeleteAs far as WATP, I watch that one on my laptop. The laptop is on my desk with a television one level up from there. I turn on the TV and watch the news and I turn down the computer. It's actually a pretty good workout when she's not talking!!
I think keeping off it while you sleep and taking it easy is going to be the key to healing up over the next few days or however long it takes.
ReplyDeleteDepends on the injury I guess. When I sprained my ankle a while back I pretty much stopped everything. I should've done some chair based exercises, but that's hindsight for ya. When I've had other injuries I've just modified.
ReplyDeleteGot all caught up on your blogs...I will not work on the area I'm injured at all. I will find something else to do, but I'm too old to mess with my knees and shoulders (my usual areas of injury) and don't want to make it worse. The only exception is my hips, because the dr and pt has assured me that exercising over arthritis pain won't hurt anything, so I push through that one.
ReplyDeleteIf injured, I find something else to do if it is at all possible. I see it as just a suggestion to work on something else for a while.
ReplyDeleteI hope your shoulder feels better soon!!! I know your pain with the lovely #2. Ugh, the worst. :(
