Non Scale Victories This Week
During last night's LIIFT 4 Shoulders workout, I saw an improvement over last weeks shoulder presses. I was unable to do the 2nd and 3rd sets last week overhead after about 3-4 presses. My left shoulder would literally fall like I'd lost all muscle control with 10 lb weights. Yesterday I used the same 10 lbs and it wasn't until the 7th rep on the second set that I started to feel bad fatigue but pushed through. On the third set my shoulders were shot but I was still able to push overhead even if slower. I pushed to fatigue but didn't have that dangerous muscle drop I had before. The zinnias I grew from seed are mostly in full bloom and I took some pics before cutting some to put in a little vase. I hear ya!!
ReplyDeleteI used to do one leg jumping jacks to protect my knees. One day I threw caution to the wind and found myself doing the real thing! I don't overdo it out of respect for my old knees but doing Jumping Jacks is definitely on my list of things I'm proud to do now that I couldn't do before!!
you seriously ROCK!
ReplyDeleteThat's awesome!
ReplyDeleteWay to go, Flash!! You're just racking up the victories lately!!
ReplyDeleteWow - victory after victory for you lately. Way to go!
ReplyDeleteI love reading about your progress! It is absolutely inspiring to see your transformation and share in your milestones. I am so impressed with the jumping jacks. I am still in the "need to modify" stage. Way to go!!!
ReplyDeleteThat's great! Love that you're getting better in so many ways lately :D
ReplyDeleteYay! Great job! And, let me just say that I can totally hear your humor in your blogs :) I love it! Keep up the great work!!!
ReplyDeleteYAYAY! That is awesome! I still have some issues with burpee's so don't feel bad :) Keep up the awesome work, momma!
ReplyDeleteLOVE this!!! Go get 'em, Jack!
ReplyDeleteYou go Jack! Teehee! When I do Jumping Jacks I look like a mixture of a few Molly Shannon characters from SNL LOL! If I don't kick down something I'll be golden!

ReplyDeleteLove it...I haven't attempted a jumping jack in I don't know how long...I just generally avoid them. I currently hate burpees and can't do one without smacking myself in the face, getting a knee stuck in my gut or falling on my face (occasionally all three) but will celebrate the day I finally do one. Congrats!!!!
ReplyDeleteWow, that's really awesome. I wound up wrecking my knees doing JJs in the traditional way when the 30-Day Shred craze started. I don't recall there being any statement to modify moves. Just wrecked me....
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you have knees that can take it, I'm sure it's a better calorie burn. Great NSV!
Fantastic!!
