What I'm Reading This Week #34

Hello you sassy beast!  Ready for another flip flappin' fantastic weekend?  Yes indeedy, Ally Sheedy. It's been a week of working ahead for me as I try to work on ideas for holiday posts.  I know, no one is ready for Christmas but spit balling stuff is actually getting me excited for the season.  I like to try to give myself the month of December off from writing new posts (except updating weekly happenings) so all I have to do is respond if needed.  It lets me take a little mental break during the holidays to try to enjoy what I can then hop back into the new year hopefully rested and ready to roll.   We did book our 30th anniversary trip, which is the same one we had to cancel this year and of course got travel insurance.  It's just nice to have something to hopefully look forward to and it makes you go "where the heck did 4 1/2 years go?" because it seems like just yesterday we were celebrating our 25th.  Do people even celebrate their 30t...

Hump Day Poll: Rituals

source

What is a daily ritual you have that you can't live without?

A cup of tea after dinner usually accompanied by our 72% dark chocolate.  It just signals the day's end and it's either tube or hygge time.  If we ever skip it for some reason, I'll kick a pebble in silent disapproval and my day feels off.

What is a daily ritual you have that you can't live without?  (Morning or evening)

  1. Yeah I enjoy that daily ritual. I guess the other one I have recently adopted is a morning meditation. It's a nice way to start the day more centered. I admit I am not in perfect attendance on that though. When I wake up exhausted after a day of doing flooring I tend to get lazy on things like that. Now I do not have an excuse.

  2. Mine would be starting out my mornings reading the Bible after I feed the dog. If I don't start off my day with that quiet time with God the whole rest of the day feels disjointed. I've made the mistake of pushing it off to later in the day, but then I'm distracted and not focused. My attitude is much better throughout the day when I start it out with Bible time.

  3. My daily ritual is taking a 15 minute walk after lunch. It's a good way to get some sun, nature and away from work for a bit. Definitely improves my mood and helps clear my head.
