Why Is It Raining in the House? Weekend Recap
Guten Morgan this fine Monday. I hope your weekend was a bitchin one and you're ready for a short week. (Or maybe you pup owners are breaking out the Thunder shirts in anticipation of the people who are going to be setting off fireworks for the next seven days. I know we always have people setting them off at random usually starting tonight. I do actually miss sparklers from when I was a kid and conducting a symphony to make shapes in the air burned into your vision.) Friday was exhausting y'all. I had to get some worm spray for a looper worm infestation on my brassicas (who the hell am I??) and whilst poking around the nursery with lightning and looming thunder Thursday night, I spotted a flat of begonias marked down to $10. Given my zinnias couldn't stay in the long planters because they need sun, I had to relent and buy the begonias. Anything to block the sea hag from peeking over. I actually enjoyed the movie but I can understand why someone would disconnect from it. It had a very non-linear way of telling the back story and that could have been done a little better. Definitely inspiring to see one reason why someone would be brave or crazy enough to walk alone on a dangerous trail like that.

DeleteYes, Yes it was. Boring all around. I did make it to Zumba though, and that wasn't boring - but once I was home and showered the boredom commenced. The kids are off tomorrow so even though I'll be at work, I won't have students so I'll get a lot done.

DeleteI actually had a great day yesterday. I'm back on the wagon and WILL lose this 30-lb regain. I even tracked my food yesterday for the first time in years.

DeleteI am in a weird place right now. I am going on vacation on Sunday so I am in that uber high faze of getting ready to go and the anticipation of seeing my Mom in less than a week. She lives in OK, I live in WI so only once a year does this happen. And, heading to where it is about 20 degrees warmer wont hurt either. So if it was a boring day, I wouldn't have been able to recognize it LOL

On long road trips like that there comes a point where you just feel like you will never stop driving. You forget you even have a destination at that point! LOL Have fun!
DeleteI did not have a good night with too much stress and sadness. But that is rather normal around here, so it's not unusual. Being off the pill probably has my hormones more on edge. I'm making chicken tacos, too! I do them in the crock pot with boneless skinless chicken thighs and it's one of my favorite go-to meals. The gravy it makes it SO good and I'll put that over rice sometimes and it's just divine. Yum!
