I wanted a snack a few years back, so grabbed a can of tuna, drained it and added mayo. I stopped eating it halfway through because I was getting sick. It got worse...now the smell of fish (or crablegs, etc) makes me nauseous. Yeah for me having a hubby that LOVES seafood. I'm fine as long as I'm sitting far enough away and upwind. lolAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04995439201162122722noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7381223979507114346.post-24478961145602293472011-06-21T19:08:03.748-04:002011-06-21T19:08:03.748-04:00I normally really like peanut butter, but every on...I normally really like peanut butter, but every once in awhile, it will do the same thing...just absolutely repulse me and make me gag. I like so much...Hmmmm the first has happened to me. I like so much more now then I ever liked as a young kid. I was so picky then! I don't know that I would survive if I stayed the same and lord knows I would be a lot heavier if I kept up that eating. But I've never had the opposite. I guess besides trying foods now that I used to eat and them being too sweet or greasy and not tasting as good. But I bet it was because of the time you tried it and it was nasty had something to do with it. There is an actual term for it when people on chemo try and eat and then get sick, actually from the chemo but their brain relates it to that food and they then have an aversion to it. Can't remember what the term is but anywho. Funny my dad after the accident started trying a few new foods and he found he really likes gravy (which he avoided like nobody's business) but he calls it sauce now to try and minimize that he likes gravy. He's silly :)BrandNewBuffyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02831025867273966818noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7381223979507114346.post-66095371453604659272011-06-18T16:52:25.279-04:002011-06-18T16:52:25.279-04:00I've noticed a lot of things (that aren't ...I've noticed a lot of things (that aren't good for me) I now 'like less' now that I haven't had them in forever. But that makes sense to me since now I just don't like 'bad for me' foods as much. But I don't think I've stopped liking anything good for me...

As for the protein thing - I am totally on board. I actually make a point of protein with every single meal so that I can go longer before being hungry in between. It was recommended to me by a nutritionist while I was diabetic during my pregnancy and it works.Melhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14228143533407781661noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7381223979507114346.post-36653231608661884882011-06-17T19:09:40.219-04:002011-06-17T19:09:40.219-04:00Chef Boyardee Ravioli and Ramen Noodles...I ate wa...Chef Boyardee Ravioli and Ramen Noodles...I ate waaaaay too much of those things in college and haven't even attempted to choke 'em down since. Once you get used to something too much it tends to get old and couple that with the time it got cold on you and that is enough to make it an unpalatable mess. But I believe once you give it some time you can find your way back to it.MrBeachBumhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10627151756099231865noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7381223979507114346.post-6224112223209479022011-06-17T15:53:41.271-04:002011-06-17T15:53:41.271-04:00Oatmeal. (My mother was born in 1921 and had me at 38.) So I grew up on seafood and, as a kid, LOVED oysters. I can't even LOOK at one now. It's crazy.

I have to tell you how gross my Irishman is. lol He does not like oatmeal at all but was determined to get some healthy routines going while he's out on his ship for 28 days at a pop. He goes on duty at midnight and gets off at noon. When he gets up around 11 pm, he puts oatmeal and milk and fruit in a container in the fridge. After he knocks off, a little after noon, he'll take it out and eat it. Cold. Just like that. *gag* lol I LOVE oatmeal and cream of wheat and (omg my favorite) malt-o-meal. But HOT. The thought of eating cold oatmeal kills me. lol

I use oats instead of breadcrumbs when I make meatloaf, meatballs, burgers and so forth along with my ground beef or ground turkey. I love the texture, get an oat fix, and I like the taste better than breadcrumbs, too.MissyEhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04908854239406213971noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7381223979507114346.post-62701841298900009222011-06-17T14:46:48.000-04:002011-06-17T14:46:48.000-04:00Lasagna Hamburger Helper. At this stage in my life, I don't eat any "helpers" any more because they're just too junky.

(and I noticed the same thing about the protein--when I have my big glass of milk for breakfast it takes longer before I get hungry then when I skip it--I love my milk!)JLVerdehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02814082484881071454noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7381223979507114346.post-77053149741214365802011-06-17T14:45:34.762-04:002011-06-17T14:45:34.762-04:00Jello! (Or as close as I can get to 30 min) I have to say, I'm not as tired as I would tend to get later in the day which is good.

Cat- Isn't that weird? Sometimes I think we need to step away from those things and come back in few weeks to see if that feeling has passed.Anele @ Success Along the Weighhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03986921867517926199noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7381223979507114346.post-76409613832730745832011-06-17T09:40:54.671-04:002011-06-17T09:40:54.671-04:00I am having a hard time now eating broccoli, and I...I am having a hard time now eating broccoli, and I've loved broccoli since the first time I had it (in high school). After college it was years before I could eat Ramen noodles or macaroni and cheese again. I don't know how much is a changing palate and how much is just needing a change. Lately I've been lovin' frosted mini-wheats in strawberry or blueberry. 220 cals w/ milk and 190 without. Packed full of vitaim-y goodness.another layerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15756727485274694135noreply@blogger.com
