Is the food good? It can be REALLY good. Thing is, I just classify it as another "ethnic" food - kinda like Indian food. It's good, I enjoy it, but I wouldn't want it every day. I like variety. I also don't think I know enough about nutrition to get a balanced enough diet without it because there are some things that meat provides more easily than veggies (and vice versa).SkyeFyrhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15279064967887745099noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7381223979507114346.post-63612685470848092832011-11-21T09:10:57.089-05:002011-11-21T09:10:57.089-05:00I think I might know the blogger you're referr...I think I might know the blogger you're referring to. I don't know why people do that. I have definitely had people telling me about what I should or should not be eating. Don't think that just because I am overweight that certain foods are off limits for me. It actually makes my blood boil when I get unsolicited advice from someone telling me about what's good or bad. I normally just say, "I can eat whatever I want." and then walk away. It's Me!!!https://www.blogger.com/profile/17034014168473394374noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7381223979507114346.post-36657932055612254042011-11-17T20:01:03.772-05:002011-11-17T20:01:03.772-05:00I'm going to chime in and say that I try reall...I'm going to chime in and say that I try really hard not to be the person who says "You know, you'd be a lot better off if you ate this or did this" and the like. I'm only 20 pounds down, but I know the rules even if I don't follow them perfectly. However, I really don't want to be the girl preaching about how someone could eat better or be healthier. I know how pissed I'd be if someone did that to me, so I try very hard to keep my opinions to myself and only impart my "wisdom" if I'm asked for it.Alanahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17603355848518976810noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7381223979507114346.post-57962106222018476962011-11-17T12:33:28.731-05:002011-11-17T12:33:28.731-05:00Food Police, preachy crap and rude criticism of ch...Food Police, preachy crap and rude criticism of choices all SUCK.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7381223979507114346.post-42680807556367528402011-11-16T22:13:44.883-05:002011-11-16T22:13:44.883-05:00I am right there with you, I can't stand when ...I am right there with you, I can't stand when people feel the need to overzealously tell me I'm doing something wrong! I respect people who choose to eat completely 'clean' or go vegan, but I know that for me, trying to follow a rigid plan doesn't work. I usually just smile, say 'thanks for the input,' and move on; it's not worth getting into a fight most days.Denisehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11794334786555278616noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7381223979507114346.post-13206613209755965342011-11-16T17:52:14.356-05:002011-11-16T17:52:14.356-05:00Am I the only one who has a mom that points out AL...Am I the only one who has a mom that points out ALL the flaws in ANY kind of decision or action plan?

Also, it's amazing how everyone's mouth is shut until someone tries to step out of the box and make changes in their lives. We continually try to win people over to our way of thinking, our faith, our political values, our social soapboxes, our brand of car, washer, bread, our methods of marriage and parenting dynamics, our tools and ideals in relationships. The list is endless. There's a verse of scripture that I love. (Even if one does not believe the bible, there is much wisdom to be garnered from it, as with almost any great literary work.) It says: Men despise that which they do not understand. Isn't that spot on? If I don't understand your needs and desires, I don't like them. Period. How pompous and petty is that? lol God save us from shying away from diversity and help us to celebrate each other in all our differences. Part of respecting and valuing others is acknowledging their ability to discover what is right for them and following that path. As so often happens, you give me a nugget to chew on and it grows and expands in my head. I'll be gnawing on this idea for a while to come. Thank you!MissyEhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04908854239406213971noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7381223979507114346.post-87600339977813109252011-11-16T12:49:44.418-05:002011-11-16T12:49:44.418-05:00I try never to judge what people are eating becaus...I try never to judge what people are eating because I so don't always "stick" to what I "think I should"! I love food. I love comfort food. What works for one doesn't always work for others. I too am tired of people jumping on and off the wagon. Or trying the latest diet or workout because it worked for someone else. It doesn't mean it is going to work for you. And don't judge others! You don't know, you just don't know what is going on with them.

Thanks for keeping it real! I haven't been on the "other" site in a while.
