What I'm Reading This Week

Finally Friday!

It's been a week of cooking experiments in the kitchen.  I've got some more holiday recipes coming up before Thanksgiving smacks us in the face.  I hope y'all will like them!

But enough of my culinary adventures, let's get to...

7 Design Choices You Didn't Realize Were Stressing You Out  (I don't think I'm committing any of these but the clutter has got to go)

5 Ways to Jump-Start a Whole-House Decluttering Effort  (Did I mention the clutter has to go?)

27 Easy Ways to Sleep Better Tonight  (I'll have to try some of these)

31 Limited-Edition Holiday Treats You Need to Try Now (The only ones I must get are the Lindt dark mint truffles, they're our fave.  But I think the hot chocolate M&M's were the only other ones to pique my interest.)

The Real Difference Between Agave, Honey, and Other Natural Sweeteners  (Good to know)

How Long Does It Take for Your Fitness to Backslide?  (Interesting info!)

I am Jeremy Sisto. Ask Me Anything.  (Jeremy's Reddit AmA.  An especially good read for Six Feet Under fans like myself and if you don't know what Six Feet Under is, commit to a binge watch on Amazon Prime and consider your life changed.)

19 Things Unhappy People Do  (Oh crap, I do exactly half of these!)

Why You’re Not Always Excited When Good Things Happen to Your Friends  (I've felt the icy yardstick of comparison from a few friends lately.  I at least try to be happy for people when good things happen, sheesh!)

The Real Reason Why There's a Tiny Hole in Airplane Windows  (So that's what that's for!)

Why Can I Sometimes See the Moon During the Day?  (Pretty cool)

I lost 100 pounds in a year. My “weight loss secret” is really dumb.  (We can relate, that first 100 lbs slid off of us with little effort compared to what people would think.  Too bad it wasn't the only 100 lbs we needed to lose.  Womp womp.)

I don't think we have any plans this weekend.  Maybe watch some college ball tomorrow night but as far as the day, I think we're open.  Oh wait!  One of my favorite stores is having a Christmas open house so maybe we'll swing by there real quick.  I actually got my first Christmas card yesterday!  I was joking with my mom who makes Christmas cards well in advance that they would serve her better if she actually sent them.  She said she never has stamps so she must've had one left over.  HA!
What are you guys doing this weekend?

  3. I don't have any definite plans other than errands that are a must. I think I mentioned in my email to you that I'd have the laundry done tonight. Welllll...maybe not. I'm going to do a load right now but that's all I'm promising. It's dark and gloomy and I just walked in the house from my adventures today with a round trip of 135 miles. Me suspects gentle snoring (I insist that it's gentle but I hear otherwise) may occur within the hour for a little nappy-nap. Can't sleep worth a darn at night time, but during the day it's lights out for me...go figure. I'm really, really hoping to make it to the apple orchard this weekend because I've only gone one stinking time so far. I have a taste for apple buttah.... Have a super duper weekend!
