First "What I'm Reading" of 2014

Okay, some of these are older than a week old but still worth sharing in my opinion.

It's the first Friday of the new year, yo!

So let's take a look at...

The Mr has to work from home tomorrow so I assume we won't really do much unless we can do some things in the morning or Sunday.  No real plans but I'm guessing I'll start getting the looks about taking down the Christmas stuff.  :-\

  1. Interesting reading - as always.

We'll be taking down the tree later today. Maybe bowling tomorrow. Otherwise no real plans.

  2. The car mat thing really works. I used it YEARS ago when I was in college. Our hall parking lot was on a huge slope and of course, I was parked down the slope with front tires against the curb/median of the parking lot when an overnight ice and snow storm blasted us. Needless to say, backing up the slope was a fruitless venture and I had just read about using the car mats not long before. I jumped out, put a mat under/behind both back tires, put it in reverse and voila! I was out. I did however have to look for one of the mats that had become a projectile during the adventure! I found it though and was quickly on my way!
